Solar Load Calculator Pakistan
Find Your Solar Panel, Inverter and Battery Size
Free solar load calculator for Pakistani homes and shops. Add your appliances or your monthly electricity units, and get the solar system size in kW, the number of panels, the inverter in kVA and the battery capacity in Ah, plus a rough monthly saving in rupees.
Find “Units consumed” on your last bill. For the peak load, add up everything you run at the same time.
How to calculate solar load in Pakistan
The calculator follows the same three steps an installer uses.
Add up your load
Multiply each appliance’s watts by its quantity. The total is your running load:
watts × qtyFind daily energy
Multiply by the hours you use each appliance, then divide by 1,000 to get kWh per day:
watts × qty × hours ÷ 1000Size the system
Panels cover daily kWh, the inverter covers peak load, and batteries cover your backup hours.
What size solar system does my house need?
No appliance list handy? Start from the size closest to your home.
3–5 marla house
- System size 3 kW
- Panels (550W) 6
- Monthly generation ~360 kWh
- Inverter 3 kVA
7–10 marla house
- System size 5 kW
- Panels (550W) 10
- Monthly generation ~600 kWh
- Inverter 5 kVA
1 kanal house
- System size 10 kW
- Panels (550W) 20
- Monthly generation ~1,200 kWh
- Inverter 10 kVA
Which solar inverter size do I need, and how many ACs can it run?
Pick the inverter from your total running load, then leave room for AC start-up surges.
| Inverter size | Running load it handles | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| 3 kVA | Up to ~2,400W | 1 inverter AC plus fans, lights and a fridge |
| 5 kVA | Up to ~4,000W | 2 inverter ACs plus basic loads |
| 8 kVA | Up to ~6,400W | 3 inverter ACs plus a water motor |
| 10 kVA | Up to ~8,000W | 4 inverter ACs, large home or small shop |
Solar load calculation FAQs
How many solar panels does a 5 marla house need?
Most 5 marla homes use 8–10 kWh a day, which usually means a 3 kW system with six 550W panels.
Which inverter size is best for a home in Pakistan?
Choose an inverter 20–25% above your peak load. For many homes with one or two ACs, a 5 kVA hybrid inverter is the practical choice.
How much solar do I need to run an AC?
A 1.5 ton inverter AC draws about 900–1,500W while running, so plan on roughly a 3 kW system for one AC for several hours a day.
Can I run a fridge on solar?
Yes. A normal fridge draws 150–250W, so a small system can run it along with a few fans and lights.
How many batteries do I need?
It depends on your load and backup hours. Enter both in the calculator and it shows the Ah and the battery count.
